Mike has been in the investment industry since 2016. Prior to starting Ballast Investment Partners, Mike worked at 1834 Wealth Management in Indianapolis, Indiana where he designed, constructed, and managed an alpha-generating Dividend Income Equity Strategy containing $450 million in AUM. Mike also worked as Director of Equity Research for Kirr, Marbach Value Partners Fund (KMVAX), which focused on investments in American infrastructure. Mike holds a double major B.S. in Finance and Economics from the University of Southern Indiana. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation, and passed the Series 65 Investment Advisory Law exam in 2014.
